[download paper] Abstract: Artificial Intelligence technology is rapidly moving out of the research lab and into products, with the potential to fundamentally transform many facets of business and everyday life. This paper provides a brief overview of AI, including what it is and what it isn't, when it tends to work well, and when it tends to fail. We then specifically review how it could impact the manufacturing sector in particular.
